Angela Slaman
Secretary
Angela Slaman was born in Sacramento, California. She has called Las Vegas her home since 1991. Angela has dedicated 27 years to her career at a major casino on the Las Vegas Strip, showcasing her enduring commitment and expertise in the industry. Although she has excelled in her career, Angela’s true passion lies in childhood education. As the mother of two middle-school-aged sons, she realized that the public school system was falling short of her expectations for providing a quality education. This realization led her to start homeschooling her two young boys, a decision that has deeply fulfilled her passion and strong desire to support homeschool families. In her family’s second year of homeschooling,
Angela co-founded a Christian homeschool co-op, providing a faith based, supportive and enriching community for other homeschooling families. Her dedication to education and her leadership in this co-op have made a significant impact on the families involved. In addition to her professional and community roles, Angela manages her younger son’s flag football team and is her older son’s biggest supporter at his jiu jitsu matches, encouraging commitment to their physical activity and teamwork. Looking ahead, Angela is dedicated to further enriching her sons' education and nurturing their intellectual growth through homeschooling, while continuing to support and inspire other families within the homeschool community.
